ICS Italy Chauffeur Service

We had an excellent experience with this sedan service while traveling between Venice, Verona, Bellagio, and Milan. The office team worked with us for months to fine-tune routes and drop-off points—especially in Verona—and provided great recommendations throughout. The dispatch team was incredibly responsive and patient with all my questions. Highly recommend for anyone looking for reliable, professional service in northern Italy.

Our group of four decided to finish our recent tour of northern Italy with a day trip to Ravenna from Venice, the last stop on our tour. The magnificent mosaics in Ravenna, particularly those of the architecturally significant Basilica of San Vitale, have been a "bucket list" destination of mine for many years. A quick Internet search brought us to Italy Chauffeur Service (ICS), and we could not have been more pleased with our choice. Communication with ICS was easy—a prompt response to our initial inquiry and very accommodating interactions thereafter gave us the confidence to book the tour with a company we had not dealt with before. We committed to our tour (driver, van and guide in Ravenna) several months in advance with the understanding that my credit card would not be charged until one month before the day of service. As the day of our tour approached, ICS sent a map with precise instructions on where to meet our driver, along with contact information and other instructions. On the day of the tour, an excellent driver, Maurizio, was waiting for us at the meeting point, a few steps from the water taxi dock in Piazzale Roma, and Roberta, an extremely knowledgeable and personable guide, met us when we arrived in Ravenna. Our tour included the Basilicas of San Vitale and Sant’Apollinare Nuova, the tomb of Galla Placidia—all with spectacular mosaic decoration—and a walking tour of central Ravenna, including Dante’s tomb and a modern mosaic arts workshop. We also had time for lunch at an excellent local restaurant, and we were back in Venice in time for an evening commitment. The pace of our tour was just right for our group. Although we were not able to visit every important site in Ravenna, those we did visit were experienced well and thoroughly. A one-day trip from Venice to Ravenna and back makes for a long day, but Ravenna is a not-to-be-missed experience for anyone interested in the art and history of Italy and the Roman Empire in Late Antiquity. Ravenna seems to be off the beaten path for most tour companies, which is unfortunate considering its charm and historical significance. I regret that we were unable to spend more time there—there is so much more to see--but ICS made it possible for us to pack a lot into the time we had available. I recommend ICS without reservation, with special kudos to Roberta, whose love for her home city is infectious.

We used this service while in port for a cruise because we wanted to support the local economy. The cost was actually less than the cruise excursion quoted price for the same experience (private car/driver). The driver met us at the cruise port and drove us to Florence for the day. The driver, Massimo, was knowledgeable and very aware of our time constraints. Even within the limited time, he showed us sights we hadn't thought to include. He was so responsive and proud of Florence! He knew where to go for everything and was an awesome driver and guide! We left Florence wanting to return. It is a beautiful city and Massimo helped us see the very best of it. We were so impressed with ICS service in this port that we booked them again for the final stop/disembarkation day to drive us into Rome. Claudio was the driver for that portion of the trip and he was excellent. Got us immediately when the ship arrived and got us to the hotel for less than the cost of the cruise's transfer option. We can't recommend this car service enough. Thank you for a wonderful experience in Italy!

An outstanding experience. Booking was simple and they provided excellent communication. After booking I needed to make a change and they were extremely accommodating. We used them twice, from the train station to our AirBnB and then from the Airbnb to the airport. Both times they emailed a day in advance confirming the pickup details, drivers names and contact information for the driver. The drivers were always early and both black cars were spotless Mercedes. We can’t wait to use them again.

My wife and I needed a nice car service for door-to-door pick up and drop off from Lake Como to our hotel in Milan. ICS made the reservation process simple, and their customer service was wonderful. They communicated with me via email on more than one occasion and had reminders prior to my trip and the evening prior to our pick-up with the driver's name and car. Marco was our driver, and he was there early and very professional. The car was a spotless Mercedes sedan and Marco kept us abreast of the time as we went. He drove safely and professionally. I will definitely use them again the next time I need a car in Italy.

We hired two private cars to take us to Positano, Almafi and Ravello. Our drivers Antonio and Andrea were incredible! They were on time, polite, informative and helped in many ways with our group of 12 people ranging in ages of 8 to 81! I highly recommended this car service!

Our experience using ICS for our recent 3 day trip in Italy went above and beyond our expectations. Simone, our driver, was punctual, professional, and accommodating of our adapting schedule. Every person in our 7 member group felt completely safe whether on the AutoStrada, a cliff hugging mountain road, or a tight narrow city street.
