The Italian Days Food Experience was truly unforgettable—easily one of the best tours we’ve ever done. From start to finish, it was the perfect way to immerse ourselves in the rich food culture of the Bologna region. We started with a visit to a traditional balsamic vinegar producer, where we learned about the aging process and tasted some of the most incredible balsamic we’ve ever had. Then came the tour of Parma, with behind-the-scenes looks at both a Parmigiano Reggiano factory and a prosciutto production facility. Seeing the craftsmanship that goes into these iconic products was fascinating—and the tastings were out of this world! The experience wrapped up with a phenomenal lunch that just kept coming. Course after course of delicious, authentic food, paired with local wines—it was the perfect ending to an amazing day. If you’re visiting Bologna, this tour is an absolute must. It’s the perfect way to connect with the region’s culinary traditions and enjoy some of the best food Italy has to offer.

The Bologna food tour was absolutely amazing. I came expecting to learn a lot about food, which I did, but I did not expect it to also be so much fun. Our tour guide Alessandro was incredibly knowledgeable and personable. It was very cool to see behind the scenes of foods we eat all the time. After the tours, the lunch (party) was an awesome way to end the day. The food was great and the hosts made the experience so much fun. Cannot recommend this enough!!!

Today was my fourth tour with Alessandro and his amazing Italian Days food team. This is by far the best thing you can do in Bologna if you want to immerse yourself in the culture and history of the special food from this region of Italy. You will experience amazing tastings and unexpected fun. Do not miss this special opportunity to make new friends in Bologna.

Wonderful tours of each location (cheese, balsamic vinegar, and prosciutto). Very informative. Great team and wonderful food for both breakfast and lunch. We had such a great time and it was evident that they love to work together and do what they do. Also, the chef accommodated well for my food allergies, making me feel taken care of and part of the food fun. That didn’t happen often on our trip so it felt extra special on this tour. I can’t recommend this experience enough. Truly an incredible day.

Our Bologna food & wine tour was memorable and fun! I was moved to tears by the deep family meaning behind the balsamic vinegar. The amount of food and wine we consumed was insane, but we had a fantastic time. If your tour includes the prosciutto factory and you are traveling, bring a plastic bag to contain your clothes later. You'll want that smell sealed off from the remainder of what's in your suitcase. It was educational, but the odor really sticks with you. Even so, we highly recommend this tour. It was a highlight of our trip to Italy.

Words cannot describe how amazing our food tour was. Alessandro was an amazing tour guide, with humor and lots of knowledge peppering our factory tours. The balsamic stop felt like something out of a dream between the delicious balsamic vinegar and the welcoming nature of the family (including fresh figs from their trees). We ate so much delicious food (mostly prepared by Barbara) and we somehow still found room to eat it all. We also got to buy and take balsamic vinegar and parmigiano reggiano cheese home. This was the best part of our honeymoon in Italy. It is worth every penny and I would come back on this exact tour again if I could.

We loved our Prosciutto Factory tour and lunch with Italian Days -- everyone we met (Alessandro, Roberta, Linda, and Barbara) was so hospitable and friendly, it was so clear they just wanted everyone to enjoy themselves (while also learning a lot about prosciutto!) The lunch was one of our favorite meals across our 2 week trip, it was just non-stop deliciousness. Definitely worth the visit, highly recommend!
