Hotel Smy Bologna Centrale

Rooms were clean and had A/C (call front desk to turn it on) the front desk people were very welcoming. And so nice! The only reason I place 4 stars is because the room led to the front and the road is loud, hard to sleep though also you could hear everything from the hallway as well. So overall good but be ready to wake up 5-6 am when the noise form the cars and hallway people start to sound. The food at the restaurant downstairs is amazing. So only downside was the noise but besides that it was a great place to stay! If you a heavy sleeper you wouldn’t have a problem! Very easy to walk to the train station

Camere semplici ma moderne e ben pulite. La posizione è ottimale per usufruire della stazione o se andate ad un concerto all’Unipol la navetta si ferma a 4 minuti a piedi. Letti con materassi leggermente duri ma molto comodi. Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo

L’hotel è molto centrale, vicino alla stazione, quindi comodo la reception di buona qualità, la camera era pulita ma abbiamo riscontrato un paio di anomalie come un’impronta di una scarpa sporca e della plastica per terra in bagno che ci hanno fatto sospettare che la pulizia non fosse così accurata. Staff molto cortese. L’albergo è in una zona molto trafficata, ma devo dire che durante la notte non c’è stato rumore.

The hotel is located in a very noisy area. When we checked in, the room was 28°C (82°F), and the air conditioning was not working. When we complained, we were told that the AC would not be operational until April 15. The staff advised us to open the window to ventilate the room—right onto the noisy street. The breakfast selection was very limited, and the staff seemed insufficiently trained. Regarding parking, we were advised to use a paid parking lot for €25 per day, while in reality, there is a nearby street parking option near the station for €1.50 per hour, which is free from evening until morning. In my opinion, the hotel staff should be aware of this information and inform guests accordingly.

Situated close to the Central Train station this hotel is perfect for your stay in Bologna. If arriving or leaving Bologna by plane then the Marconi Express train stop is just a short walk from the hotel so saves on taxis etc. The hotel itself is very modern and the staff are incredibly friendly. The rooms are clean and comfortable and offer a sustainable cleaning solution so you don't have to change your towels etc each day unless you want to. Rooms have usual amenities (safe, kettle, TV, fridge ,WiFi etc) but there is a lack of charging points which gadget reliant travellers may struggle with. Breakfast was included in the price and for meat eaters it is great. For vegetarian customers options are limited. Breakfast composes of hot elements (chicken sausage, bacon, breakfast potatoes, grilled courgette and scrambled eggs). There are cold meats and cheeses available as well as yogurts and pastries. Hot and cold drinks are also available. Hotel location is superb. 2 mins from train station and about a 10 min walk to Piazza Maggiore. Perfect if you want to explore Bologna or take the train further afield. We used trains to Pisa, Verona and Florence.

Might be worst value of hotel I ever stayed in. Luckily my company paid otherwise I would be more upset. Let’s start off with the good things: It was very clean and the breakfast had some freshly baked goods but was limited in selection. Was still tasty though. Now the bad: Got a single room, it was extremely small and extremely basic. Because of F1 the prices where inflated: 1 night was 290 the others where about 170. I think the true value for this would be around 70-90 per night. Disturbing during breakfast: I was told that i didnt pay my breakfast, but showed them my booking which clearly stated i paid for it. Then another worker disturbed me 4 times while i was eating and had to proof again i paid for it. They still wouldnt believe me and showed me my booking. Sadly i had to point out it was not my booking which they showed me. I had to write my name and room number on paper. They came back and apologized because I did pay for it beforehand. It really made me start of my day annoyed. Another problem was that my key card stopped working randomly and couldnt access my room. I requested an invoice for my company. The numbers on it also dont add up with what i actually paid. And local tax is not included in the booking price. Cannot recommend this place whatsoever.

THE WORST CHOICE EVER. I booked for my business trip but simply selected a wrong month, I texted, emailed, rang them to request for a modification or refund but they refused to provide any help. all of them are incredibly incommunicate and have a poor customer service. this changed my whole impression for Italy and I hope no one waste your time for this shitty accommodation.
